Did I suck out?
After this hand, I got a lot of uninvited comments about my play. Did I completely suck out, or did I just take advantage of the situation?
UTG +1 had a huge stack~1300 and was tight, typical, but knew how to trap well. CO had just come to the table, so I had no read on him. Stack was $200. I had slightly under $300 B&M 2-5 NL $200 max buy in I was MP+2 and dealt AcQs, Pre-flop UTG+1 limped, then all folded to me, I raised to 20 (standard opening raise at the table), CO flat called, blinds folded, and UTG+1 flat called. flop was 3c 9d Jc (pot $63) UTG+1 checked, I bet 30, CO flat called, UTG+1 folded. Turn was 4 c. (pot 123) I bet 30 again, and was again flat called. River was a 10c (pot 183) I bet 60 was once again flat called, and showed the nut flush. CO mucked his hand and said it was two-pair. If CO showed any aggression, I would have likely folded the flop or turn. Granted, my turn bet was probably in error, however I think that this hand was less a suckout than poor play by CO giving me the win. Comments. |

Re: Did I suck out?
If you are going to semi bluff the turn then bet more like $80-$90.
I am amazed he didn't raise you with 2pair on turn. He played it awful. Let you draw for free. |
