Re: Live deep stack $5-10 NL, flopped nuts facing stack re-raise
You are getting about 3:2 on your money and you are a 2:1 dog to the SF draw and a near coinflip to the straight w/redraw. Folding should definitely be a thought here. But I don't think its something to be done automatically (this isn't Omaha). The question really comes down to how rational you think the villin is with a large stack. If he is rational at all its an easy fold, if a maniac then its an easy call, and inbetween is where poker is played.

Re: Live deep stack $5-10 NL, flopped nuts facing stack re-raise
lets assume he has a set, then he's about 1.5 to 1 to fill up, that means that your chance of losing have increased but your chances of winning are greater than his. If the money means a lot to you or is a significant part of your bankroll... you may consider folding this, but if you must know that your straight will be outdrawn 40% of the time, this is if he has a set!!!
He could have 2 pair, or have AA or KK and decided to limp preflop and now may be putting on the gas. What do you know about this clown? |

Re: Live deep stack $5-10 NL, flopped nuts facing stack re-raise
Diablo, mikech,
Are you guys groggy from a cage match or something? There's $900 in the pot when it gets back to him with enough info to remotely consider a fold. It costs $2600 to call. If Villain's range is KQc or 98c, he is a 5 to 4 dog. How can Villain not have any 98, as opposed to 98c? This player can clearly also have a set or the nut flush draw. That would make OP a 5:4 favorite. Even if his range is just KQc and 98c, he's exactly even money, and again, there is $900 in the pot. Throw in the possibility that this guy's made a huge mistake, and you have the easiest call there is--pretty sure that doesn't make me a fish. |
