Circuit Tunica
Moved this over from WPT Forum
Anyone at the Circuit events in Tunica this week? I was thinking about driving over Thursday for the weekend and was wondering how it was going. Is it ridiculously crowded? Hard to get into satellites/cash games? Any of the casinoes happen to have vacancies? I need some live game action, I'm about burnt out on the internet/multitable grind. I plan on just playing some 10/20 or 20/40 limit and maybe a satellite or two. If anyone is there or has been there a little update on how things are going would be much appreciated before I make the drive. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Circuit Tunica
I was out there this past weekend, It wasn't overcrowded except for the first $300 NL event. That event had 190 alternates.
A couple of notes. If you are gonna play the Single Tables for WSOP chips, the $120 and $230 Single tables are a good bet. The $120 pay $1000 in WSOP chips and $100 to the winner, the $230 pays $2000 in WSOP chips and $200 to the winner. Same blind structure for each, 25/25, 25/50 and dbling every 15 mins. $120 starts with 800 in chips, $230 starts with 1000 in chips. They are running $200 rebuy satellites into the ME at 4pm and 8pm everyday. There is good side action cash games everyday at the Grand. I didn't play much, but I heard the games were very easy. One other note, the poker room is freezing cold. Bring some long sleeves. GL if you go out. |

My wife and I went to The Grand Saturday night about 8:30 PM just to see the setup; we only live about 20 minutes away. It was pretty impressive, spread out over 3 rooms (the old poker room, the lobby area outside the old poker room and the old ballroom area). About 100 tables give or take a few, and about 85 were going at the time either from the $1000+$60 event, the $200+$25 satellite event and the regular games. There were a lot of bodies but it seemed they were doing a great job keeping things spread out. They even had the final table/stage setup off to the side. |
