The thing is, if you are a decent player, you don't need to be staked for internet play. You should be able to make a couple grand in free rolls per month. At most, you might need 50 bucks here or there to play a few raked hands to qualify for some of them. But you can just win a few hundred quickly in the non qualifier free rolls first to get that even. 90% of the players in these free rolls are novice players so getting into the money much of the time is just no problem. So why would any good player think they need to be staked to get back on their feet again? It's just not neccessary. What if the person is a ring game player and not a tourney player? p.s. I don't advocate lending money or staking players if your not willing to write it off. Just provoking discussion.
