Re: 20+2 button push
It'd be nice if we could know all chip counts, but as it is, no, I don't like it very much. You still can hang on for a while w/ 6BB in lvl4.

It seems a little too desperate a little too early....

Re: 20+2 button push
I push unless the blinds like to gamble with overcards and small pocket pairs.
Edit: FWIW, I think this is a standard push at the 20s. With 7 players left, having a 7.5bb stack will get you a lot more folding equity later than 6bb. I don't think you'll get many more chances to steal unless you build your stack now. The tourney can pretty much go 3 ways for you from now 1) fold, not get a decent soon and be in a spot to push with less then 5bb with a marginal hand like A7, or risk being blinded away. 2) fold, and catch a good hand and double up, or lose. 3) push, don't get called, have 7.5bb and have some folding equity. 4) push and get called. You win, and it increases your tourney equity significantly with 7 players left. Offcourse you might lose, but Q7 isn't terrible to push here. 1 and 3 are much more likely than 2 and 4, and this is the time to start building a decent stack. I'd push, although this isn't any 2 territory yet. |
