Bubble Hand
Satelite tournament, 6 seats, 7 gets cash, 8 players remaining.
250/500 blinds Ante 50 Seat 1: (7,675) Seat 2: (16,337) Seat 3: Villain (6,943) Seat 4: (28,680) Seat 5: Hero (4,456) Seat 6: (4,305) Seat 7: (11,532) Seat 9: (7,072) Table has been tight, and I'm one of the two small stacks who won't be getting a seat unless things change. The button is in seat #5 *** HOLE CARDS *** Hero gets [8s 8h] Villain calls 500 Hero raises to 4,406, and is all in I figured if I was called I was most likely a coin flip with two overcards, possibly A-rag suited, unlikely to be a larger pair (Villain had been fairly straightforward). I had been playing painfully tight, and was really looking for Villain to fold to give me an extra round of breathing room. Winning the pot would have put me on about 10K and I think I could have folded in from there, the two big stacks were being pretty aggressive. Results: He had KQo and flopped two kings. Two hours of tournament down the drain and I won't be playing in Sunday's big event. Anyone have any observations? |
