Interesting - not one post on the winner of this tourney
I'm not sure what that means - but I find that interesting...

Re: Interesting - not one post on the winner of this tourney
does anyone know who will be playing howard heads up?
I hope it's DN. Then Howard sits down with a helmet and mouthpiece and says, "I'm sorry, I thought this was full contact poker?" Seriously. |

It sounded like she was mainly a limit player, and must be a high limit player at that to be interested in dropping $20K to play some of the best NL players in the world. I was actually rooting for Clonie once Gordon got knocked out, but I think she made a bad play on that all in to get knocked out. Oh well. |

Re: Interesting - not one post on the winner of this tourney
Usually there is a comment about the winner of a tourney - for good or for bad.
The only thing I've seen her in was GSN's "Poker Royale/Battle of the Sexes." |

Re: Interesting - not one post on the winner of this tourney
Yeah she just plays limit games in LA Mainly and jumped into the NL tourneys last year or so. Used to be married to Bill Gazes
From Her Site : Kristy Gazes was born on October 28th, 1967 in Torrance, CA. A former documentary filmmaker, she has made her living playing poker for the last 12 years. Initially, Kristy focused on the cash game, becoming an expert high-limit player. Prior to 2003, she only played 5 to 10 tournaments a year, but soon the boom of No-Limit Holdem got her attention and she has found a natural fit in the glamorous world of televised poker tournaments. Becoming a mixed-games specialist earned her the nickname Kristy "Mixed-Games" Gazes (You may have heard of her ex-husband Bill Gazes). Known for her aggressive playing style, wicked sense of humor and her addiction to sunglasses, Kristy also likes to surf and ride horses in her free time. Kristy is fast becoming one of the most recognized players in poker as more and more fans take notice of the striking brunette and more and more pros give up their chips to her. Just a few of her cashes and accomplishments include: 2001 WSOP SHOE 5th place WOC Omaha Hi-Lo Champion 1st Place Various cashes in mixed-game tournaments at the Commerce Casino No-Limit Experience: 3 WPT cashes CA state poker championship 8th place no-limit hold-em Featured on The Ultimate Poker Challenge with several top finishes |

Re: \"Official\" Fulltiltpoker.net Championship Live at the Wynn
This broadcast was way better than any WSOP/WPT event I've seen. I rarely watch tournaments nowadays, but I'm glad I tuned in for this one.
Forrest got too much credit. He made several good plays, but he misplayed the AA Aces full of sixes hand by checking behind on the river. Negreanu is much more likely to have case ace than case 6. If he did have the case 6, his play would have been very strange. Also, Forrest missed continuation bets w/ Ace high at two opportunities and both cost him the pot. Those are all beginner mistakes. I am surprised a world class player like Forrest would make them. |

Hindsight is 20/20 my friend. Poker is a game of mistakes. Surely you've never played a 4 hour session where you thought you played every hand perfectly, have you?
