Huh?
So, I'm trying out the new .5/1 6-max tables on pp. This is in my first orbit, and the table is playing pretty aggro postflop, but loose/passive pf. Villian hasn't done anything that stood out before this hand, and with the limited # of hands, I am reluctant to put any sort of definitive read on her. What's your play on the turn?

Re: Huh?
Set of threes, set of fours, A4, flush draw, could be any number of things - all of which you are probably behind except the flush draw. Call and see the showdown on the river (unless you hit your K, and then cap it if you can).

Re: Huh?
Slowplayed pocket Eights or Threes? Pocket Fours that he hung on to past the flop because of the backdoor wheel chances? An overplayed flush draw? I'd have to call it down and look him up.
Edit: A4s possible also as wireMan sed. |

Fold you can't beat anything.

Re: Huh?
The board is drawless (so an A is likely in one of those two hands) and the pot's not huge. If you call, you're praying for an overplayed flush draw. The second best scenario would be something like 43 that you can draw out on which seems like a long shot. It's two more big bets to see the river and you've got another live player in the hand. Bailing looks like the right play to me.

Bailing looks like the right play to me. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. The pot's too small for the chance of winning it to be worth the price. |

Re: Huh?
Fold. Totally standard.
You are often ahead when called down against unknowns, but when the turn is raised you gotta get out of there. |

Re: Huh?
Just checking here, and making sure I don't become results oriented. I was really suprised that the first two responses said to call here. Anyway I folded, the river was the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and there was no showdown. Next hand, please.

Re: Huh?
I don't think a hand such as A-10 is at all unlikely here. If there were only "quality hands" that could beat me, I would call down, but in this situation, too many hands can beat me that would be played this way. I think a fold is right.
