David: you may have answered this question previously but I am wondering if you think you would do better playing 1 table as opposed to 2? I seem to be having a little trouble with boredom playing 1 table lately and find I am playing to many hands. Maybe if I played 2 tables I would be less bored but I'm afraid I would be missing important plays, etc. I know you take notes on other players apparently you have adequate time to do so?
I need all the help I can get in this game and that is one of the reasons I read this forum. But your past 6 weeks effort have proven that with perseverence and pma you don't have to be a pro to show a profit...Keep up the good work |

I find that playing two tables help me keep focused and I think my hourly rate is definately better even if I do miss a play here ahd there.
You do need to be a winning player or you'll just lose twice as fast, so if you're losing or breaking even at 1 table, you should probably stick to playing 1 table at a time until you get your game together. |

I sometimes find that playing up to 4 tables at once can be productive once you have good notes on most players.
I only do this when I can find 2 good O/8 games. The slow pace of O/8 makes it easier to keep track of 4 tables. Conversely, while playing 7CS I usually will play only one table. Keeping track of board cards is difficult enough on one table. |

Edited because I didnt read unome's correction on the Thursday night hand.
And to answer unome's question, there is no way in hell I'm folding on the turn in that hand as either an A or a 6 on the river means I'm not even drawing to a split pot. It's all mine, baby! Great implied odds for when/if I hit it with all the action too. |

Really interesting story/post. This is my first day at this forum and I was wondering what your ID is at ParadisePoker. I play the lowest limits but have managed to win a few hundred from a $100 initial buy in.
I'd like to watch you play sometime. |

David Ross' handle at Paradise is Davidross
Be discrete however. I don't think David mind the railbirds, but it could influence his opponents image of him if every Tom and Joe says hi in the chat and commend him for his posts. |

I remember that hand and was going to mention it as part of a deception topic. I had actually flopped a monster. I can't remember if it was AA or a smaller set, but I thought I was going to get action so I raised the flop for reverse deception and youall folded. I was feeling disappointed and threw out the "hit the wrong button" comment. Don;t believe anything I tell you at the table. But everything I post is true (as I remember it, my memory can be fuzzy).

I agree with Rigoletto. I'm sure my win rate on 1 table would be marginally higher than it is right now, but I'd rather make 1 BB/hr on 2 tables, than 1.25 BB/hr on 1 table.
I do find I am more patient playing 2 tables too. It's easier to muck KJ when you're seeing twice as many hands. |
