[/ QUOTE ] From MP, at a loose table, you potentially have plenty of odds to play for set and flush draws. I think SSH (or maybe HPFAP) advocates raising with any playable hand when first in on the button. IMO, this has been bastardized and misapplied over the past few months, and now people are advocating open-raising with 55 from MP1 as a default play, or raising QT from the CO "to punish the UTG limper." I agree with your basic premise, that you have to start thinking situationally and conceptually, but the OP is obviously a beginner; let him keep the training wheels for a while before we start telling him all the fancy moves he can make with 72s. |
