Re: Attempting to apply the Gigabet complex
It's obviously an -EV *donk* move. But if I lose the hand my relation "stack power" doesn't really change much, whereas if I win the hand I am table chip leader head honcho.
I dunno, this hand comes up and I just start thinking back to my man Darrell |

As far as this hand it's probably a marginal call but given the circumstances might not be as bad as it seems. I still wouldn't make it though. |

Re: Attempting to apply the Gigabet complex
Given what I got out of his post, i'd say you applied it correctly. If you lose you'll have 2100 which is still good for your table and blinds. If you win you'll have ~3200 which puts you in the position to still lose an all in to the next big stack and still have 800 chips which is not great but not terrible. Given that most of the table is medium stacked you will be able to push them around more easily than short stacks and big stacks (mentioned in Harrington 2). I think its a decent call given the table. Still need to take into consideration your previous table image and how this call will alter it for future hands.

Re: Attempting to apply the Gigabet complex
I called a shortstack all in previously with KJ vs. his A2, but he had very little.
As a result of this hand I got a lot of action on my made hands and got up to 10k in chips, but lost half of it to a retard who called down with 88 on a A5746 board. I had AQ. |
