Re: Cashing chips from out-of-town casinos
Truth. If you're taking more than 10k, wire it. No sense taking a chance on getting robbed, arrested, bankroll confiscated, etc...

[ QUOTE ]
I know times have changed, but I really doubt arriving at the vegas airport with $20k in cash would be considered suspicious. If you aren't comfortable taking the cash for whatever reason wiring it is really the only other sensible way to go. [/ QUOTE ] What he said. |

[ QUOTE ]
you can not carry more the 10k on a plane usually. also if you keep that much in your pocket and dont "show it" it will set off the metal detectors [thus the magnetic strip in the bills now] My sugestion, bring a check book and take a marker. [/ QUOTE ] I may be mistaken, but I believe that is only when one is leaving the country, not traveling within it. |

Re: Cashing chips from out-of-town casinos
The 10k law actually refers to ENTERING the United States I believe (may be leaving it also, not sure). Also, carrying that much cash into the US isn't illegal...it just must be declared.
