Re: A 10 against fishy
Calling can very easily be correct in this situation. I am not saying raising is wrong(I probably raise here as well), but calling is not a huge mistake. It's not like Hero's on the CO or button after 1 limper. He's in MP2.

Re: A 10 against fishy
ATo shouldn't be raised in certain positions just because... Sometimes I fold ATo in later positions than I raise it. Here we can isolate someone who is weak and confused; we should raise preflop.

Re: A 10 against fishy
It would force the blinds to fold and increase the chance of winning the pot. Are you saying that the pot is too small to make this profitable? Is it better than calling?

Re: A 10 against fishy
I don't really think it makes much of a difference. If you really think that you can isolate the limper then I like raising here to buy the button, and to knock out the blinds. But this is impossible to do in most of the games I play in.

Re: A 10 against fishy
folds, but should have folded on the flop (the pot is too small and the hand is too marginal).
If i have a clear read that the villain is a major fish, then i tend to raise preflop in this situation. Otherwise it is just a call for me. |
