Re: Still too passive? Still lost at sea..
i think you can safely fold the river unless this guys bluffs left and right with four overcards to your pocket pair. if you fear he's bluffing the ace, you could raise the turn and hope for a free showdown (unimproved, of course).
nice raise preflop and bet on the flop. -steve |

Re: Still too passive? Still lost at sea..
I wanna check that flop. You have the wrong end.
I wanna fold that river, even moreso since there is one player all in against you, gunning for most of the pot. |

I would raise the turn with your position, then fold the river to a bet. The ace is a scare card, but It can beat you too.

[/ QUOTE ] why? it's HU and Sb just woke up on the turn? what are you trying to do? i wouldn't have bet the flop. we're not protecting our hand here which probably isn't best, and we have the wrong end of a possible straight. |

Re: Still too passive? Still lost at sea..
Wrong place to get too aggressive - on the flop you have the stupid end of the open end and are looking at 3 overcards. On the turn when the ace drops and villain bets I go home.

why? [/ QUOTE ] Hero has been the aggressor the entire hand. [ QUOTE ] what are you trying to do? [/ QUOTE ] Find out how far behind I am. I would raise KQs in this situation preflop, what makes you think the SB flopped a str8? |

Re: Still too passive? Still lost at sea..
Raising the turn to find out how far behind you are is a huge waste of bets. Being bet into on the turn is info enough.

[ QUOTE ] what are you trying to do? [/ QUOTE ] Find out how far behind I am. [/ QUOTE ] Guy checks the flop and bets a very scary board into your 4th pair. That tells you all you need to know about how far behind you are. Edit: beat to the punch again |
