Re: AJ fold here?
yeah, i was considered the tightest player at the table... i made the only 3 or 4 preflop raises that got folded around while i was at the table.
i'd seen players at this table who would call the rest of their $100 stack with QJ if a jack came (or even a lower pair). also, generally i think folding this here is pretty unreasonable. does anyone think of folding to the minraise on the turn? after talking about the hand with a friend, i became convinced this was the correct play. this is really what i was curious about with the hand. |

Re: AJ fold here?
Do not fold to the minraise. He could easily have QK[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], KJ, K10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], etc.

Re: AJ fold here?
I definitely wouldn't fold AJo in middle position if I'm first to act and would come in for a raise as well. I suspect that villian has KJ and has tunnel vision about his hand. I would have definitely bet more on the flop (pot sized bet) to feel out whether he made trips. Your bet just doesn't give you enough information about villian's hand.

Re: AJ fold here?
If i were you, i would have bet at least 20 bucks on that flop.. ANd then bet the complete pot on the turn... Top two pair headsup is a freaking monster... ESPECIALLY, if you raised preflop to begin with... Man, this is the exact situation you want here.. Bet the pot on the turn, and put that guy all in
