In your opinion, musically speaking, who do you think is the most important influence on Led Zeppelin's music?
For a reference lets stick to studio work and 'bonus' tracks. Please expound. ![]() |

Page.
I guess you could say they're all about equal, but JPJ is not on the same level with Page or Bonham, in my opinion. |

JPJ's strength may just be in his arrangements - this facet of his musicality often goes unsung.

I'm not a huge Zeppelin fan, but I don't know how it couldn't be Page.
Zeppelin probably has had the third greatest influence on modern rock, and its Page's work that comes through the most, IMO. |

Page, of course, although Bonham was the most important/influential within the band itself, if that makes sense. Page himself has said as much, on numerous occasions.

Bonham, the drums are the heart of that metal sound.

[/ QUOTE ] I thought that was the question? I think if I had mentioned that Bonzo is arguably one of the best rock drummers ever, he may have gotten a better % of the votes - however votes in the 'None of the above' I would suspect represent a reflection of that veiwpoint. |
