Default Blind Defense...

A friend of mine is interested in getting a bit more serious about poker and I'm trying to teach him some concepts. I have trouble putting certain things into words however so maybe you can help me out. How would you explain blind defense to someone?

Default Re: Blind Defense...

Defending your blind is calling a raise (or reraising) when you suspect the raiser does not have a better than average hand. Typically comes up when it is folded to the CO or Button, who raises.
