Vegas satellites for WSOP event #2???

This event is a $1500 buying NL held june 3rd. My question is, will the rio be running single table satellites? Any online sites running tourneys?

Ive done a search and cannot find any info on live satellites in vegas. The only online satellites im finding are for the main event....

There will be live ones...they are very profitable and popular for the casinos..

any idea on how long they run prior to the start of the event? Day before?

generally they run satellites for the next day's tournaments as soon as the first day's tourney starts.

Knowing the way the Rio's room is run. They will probably just say...OK first 10 people to run over each other to this table in the corner get to play a sattelite. No lists, no nothing.

Harrahs is going to kill it this year. I went to the Rio's site and checked out the gaming/casino section. There is ZERO mention of the poker room that has been open for 3-4 months now. None, nadda, zip. I've called there and asked the floorman about daily tournaments, and they say "we dont have that info here, you'll have to call back when the TD is in and he can tell you what we have and when".

Needless to say, I haven't gone to that room thanks to that call and the reviews on Allvegaspoker.com

Yes, Gavin is right. The satelite for the $1500 starts at approx. noon on the prior day of the tournament. Thus on June 2nd at noon the $150+15 satelite will start. Last year, they started the satelites a tad earlier due to popular demand. I think they started them at 11:00 or so since there were so many ppl inquiring. If you go the morning of the tournament, there are tons of satelites. If your a decent SnG player, you should do okay.
