Tipping Dealers for Foxwoods Act Tournaments
Sorry if the subject of tipping has been covered, either the search function doesn't work well, or I'm an idiot. Either way, I cannot find anything about dealer tipping.
Anyway, for my first live poker experience I plan on playing some Foxwoods Act I & II (and with some luck, maybe an Act III) tournaments. These are NL satellites for the NEPC $5,200 buy-in. I have no idea what the tipping etiquette is for satellites. Do you tip only if win? If so, how much? Here are the buy-ins: Act I: $45 + $15, top 3 of 10 win $150 Act II entry Act II: $135 + $15, top 3 of 10 win Act III entry Act III: $420 + $30, every $5,200 in prize pool is 1 entry into NEPC Any guidelines would be much appreciated. |

I personally don't tip in these, maybe in Act III, but I don't in the other 2. Maybe I am a cheap wad, but I make up for it by being generous in the cash games.

In most satellite tourneys the dealers get some part of the house fee. If not I would give him about $8, that would be $24 if all 3 winners tip which is plenty I think. If you can buy in the to the Act II, I certainly would - $45 + $15 is pretty strong juice. |
