What material did you use for the top? Plywood? MDF? Looks really good.

2 sheets of 3/4 plywood, mdf alone is heavy and flexes too much.

There is a long bolt running throught the tube of the leg connecting the base and the mount. To lower the table I had to cut the tube and rethread the bolt....not much fun!

That is a really sweet table. What was the total price of materials and how long did it take work time, ie: not time waiting for parts ect

This table came in around $275 and time to build was about 12 hrs due to the fact that I had to shorten the legs and drill the steel plate to increase footprint.
