I like the red/light turquoise on black.

I also like the gray w/ only 2 spots, but I will need to hear back from Dennis on that one.

preferences?

500 A or B
1000 A or B

I like those combos!

500 - B
1000 - A

I don't see why we wouldn't be able to do the gray as pictured. It should cost less if anything, not more. I've noticed that Dennis seems to change his pricing depending on what mood he is in when you talk to him. Plus anything different always costs more, not less. Even if it seems like less work.

I heard from Dennis on this. He actually tried what we suggested last night - that is, filling in the other 2 edge spots with the base color. He said that since the edge spots are subjected to a different temperature than the base, it came out a different shade of gray. Therefore, this technique will not work. Oh well. I am glad he tried it out for us at least, I was certainly not expecting that!

So, with that in mind - what do we want for the 2nd edge spot color on the gray chip? Blue again? Or back to white? Suggestions?

I say use the same blue so all four spots are the same. That way we still have a progression of the spots.

Ready for a count?

Regarding payment, maybe we can just pay Dennis directly and avoid the whole escrow thing.

Also, minor issues, but I assume we wont be able to get more of these later unless we order another 5000? Plus, can others call in and get the same design? Or can we limit this color combo for security?

I think you're right regarding a re-order. If someone were to pick them up 'on spec' then maybe.

Since we're using their stock inlay, I think we'd have a hard time trying for any security measures on the chip. If we had our own inlay, copyright (to the extent that it had protected expression), trademark law (if someone sold these chips under a particular mark), and perhaps even an agreement not to dupe the same set (with our inlay) might team up with common sense to prevent dupes. Note: we could not lock up the color combos just the inlay.

Those are some of my thoughts...

These aren't going to be 'high security' chips.

If that's what you want, think about dropping $750 on a custom inlay set (stock or no edge spots )...

I think you have a winner with new $100. I like the 500 choices equally so either one is fine. Definitely prefer A for the 1000

Finally got my login issues worked out, so I can comment on this.

Yeah, I know you've all been desperately waiting for it!

Anyway, love all the color combos, including option B for 500 chip, except the red chip. Has the majority gone agains the red with yellow/orange, I think that is a really sharp edge spot.... Not enough contrast?

The black and gray together on the red just seems, to boring and dark....
