bad beats
played 10-20 at trop this weekend.1 player would bet and raise with any two cards.and either hit them on flop or get runner runner to make flushes or straights.lost many hands this way. never seen anything like it.lost total 45bb for night.Ever happen to anyone else.

When you catch the cards you need on the turn and the river. If you are three to a flush and the turn and the river cards make yor flush, that's a runner-runner flush.
It's not a compliment, they are implying you played poorly and got lucky. |

There's a guy that I ran into on two consecutive trips to Blackhawk (CO) who seemed to be doing exactly this, but it was 5/5. He played for about 3-4 hours both times and walked away up $500 the first night and about $650 the second night. He played and raised everything, but I do think he knew what he was doing after the flop. He was catching everything, though.

I was shortstacked in a tourney and decided to go all-in preflop with an AK suited. Another shortstacked player did the same thing with an A8 unsuited.
Flop comes 836, Turn 6, River another 8. I felt like I had been mugged... |
