Multiple monitor and video card question
Sorry if I sound like a computer idiot, but how do you add a third monitor if you currently have two monitors running. I currently have a dual monitor video card with two lcds connected, and want to add a third. Do I need to buy a new video card that has three monitor outlets, which I think run over $200, or can I just add a single monitor video card to one of my empty PCI slots on my motherboard?
It just seems way too easy to add another monitor just by buying a PCI video card, but hopefully that is the case. Any help appreciated. patient77 |

Re: Multiple monitor and video card question
yeah, it's that simple. Just plug in a PCI video card, install the drivers, connect the monitor and reboot.
If you buy a card with dual monitor support, you can use up to 4 monitors. |

Re: Multiple monitor and video card question
Cant you put in 2 or 3 PCI cards for 3 or 4 monitors? It would seem so? Assuming you have the available slots

Re: Multiple monitor and video card question
Tobdog,
I'm not sure about that, but I guess it would work. Will give it a try, or just buy a dual monitor pci card. patient77 |
