I called on the turn with borderline odds for the flush with the implied odds on the river and the chance that my Kings 3 "out" was good. On the river I ruled out a very good hand for the cutoff with his check, and my read on the BB was on the flush draw, some kind of straight or perhaps a little overpair. Since we both checked the river, a bluff was a good possibility, and I didnt had to be right a lot of time for this call to be good.

Is my tought process for this hand in or out ?

UTG+1 is not the time to play K/8 suited, what are you going to do with it to a raise? Fold preflop.

Given your position I fold K8s before the flop. Given the CO betting I think he has a big hand and is trying to protect it and I think he would shut down if a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] does come so on the turn you need to push or fold and I think folding is more correct given my read of the player. Easy fold on the river what can you beat other then a total bluff at this point?

I don't think that it's a bad call on the end. I mean, you really didn't have to odds to call for the flush draw, but if you're calling $60 to win $300 with TPMK, you're getting 5:1 on your money, so you're probably beat, but you've only gotta be right 20% of the time here for it to be the right call.

your opponents must play very poorly for your line to be correct. first, why post in MP in a shorthanded game? against tight players you would check-raise or bet the flop and/or bet the turn. with deep stacks you would occasionally check-raise the turn. against the usual crowd in your game you might check-call the flop and even the turn and actually have won the pot, but that win just teaches you bad habits for when you move up. might as well check-fold the turn and be done with it. once the king falls on the river, if the money goes in against any decent player, you are beaten.

probably the most helpful advice to give is that Kxs is simply not a good hand on its own. second is not to overplay flush draws unless you are trying to take down the pot with a semibluff AND have a very good chance of doing so. no sense bluffing into calling stations.

I probably done something wrong with the converter because (after a review of my hand history), I was in the big blind, the flop and turn aggressor was UTG and the other one was in late position.

So the one betting on the flop and on the turn had A9, and the other one had Jh2h for a total bluff on the river, and I won the 300 $ pot.

I was "right" this time but I try not to be result oriented and I was not much sure I played it right. Thanks for the replies.

I see that the main wrong thing was my call on the turn, I tought at that time that I had 120 $ in potential implied odds and that it made my call correct. I also have to say that the 2 other players in the hand were in the loose side, wich is almost implicit with the 1/2 NL at party.

On a side note, Im sorry if my writing is probably not the better one around, Im not an english native.
