sponger wins. contest over, unless somebody lost a family member or apendage due to a poker hand.
my worst mistake was folding aa preflop to 2 people who went allin after i raised in a nl25 game on party. no, i did not mean to fold! in fact i was jumping up and down in excitement, and then clicked the wrong button. in online blackjack, i have doubled down with a hard 20 a couple times due to a misclick. maybe some day i will learn how to correctly operate my computing machine. |

[ QUOTE ]
At any given time I am discussing poker and various strategies with 1-3 people so for me to confirm this bet against a certain style of player is not uncommon. [/ QUOTE ] Wow, you do this about a hand that you're involved in 'while' you're invovled in it. This just gets uglier as it goes on. [ QUOTE ] Sheesh, lighten up. I'm not interested in cheating [/ QUOTE ] If the above is happening, sorry, but you are cheating. Flat out. This is a major violation. Pretty universal, really. It's not a team game. You don't become a better player by having a meeting about a play while you're in the heat of battle about a hand in play. But feel free to run that one through at a live cardroom with your 1-3 buddies behind you, holding up play, while you guys debate on the best course of action. I'd love to hear how that one goes. b |

eh, fortuantely for me I don't care what you think. I already explained myself, and if I were cheating, I would have the common sense not to include that in my post. You are lame.

[/ QUOTE ] yeah i have definantly done that before. also, one time i was UTG with AK in $100 NL and instead of raising I went all in with like $180. Got called by a guy who only had like $30 and he had JJ. So yeah, ended up not really costing me anything becuase if I would have raised to like $10 and he went all in I probably would have called. |

Re: The worst error I\'ve ever made in Poker...
I'm going to have to agree with everyone else and say that if you are discussing hands with other people while they are happening that is cheating... C'mon if you were playing in a B&M and a go leaned over to his buddy for a minute and then reraised you would be pissed off.

Re: The worst error I\'ve ever made in Poker...
Buster, I get what you want - input on how a hand should be played from other people, so you can learn - but really, if that's all you want ask whoever it is *after* the hand.
If you actually want help on how to play A hand, while in progress... Hell I won't even comment to good friends *learning the game* on other tables, even if they tell me what they've got, until the end of the hand. This is not a line I would feel right about crossing. Even casually. But repeatedly, and with aforethought, I too think it's just _wrong_. |
