My feeling is the AQ or AJ of clubs just missed his monster draw. The AQ won't call a river bet, the AJ will. You are not beaten very often, and I don't see a check raise in your future even if you are. Do it.

You're looking at a pair plus a draw. Bet the river.

Thats why its a value bet, not a guarantee of money. You have to lose them sometimes. FWIW, he would have bet the river and you would have called. River was very scary for him =)

Bet.

I would not have played the hand the same as you did. Once check-raised on the flop, I would have waited until the turn and raised a blank.
