Default Poker to be the next Nascar?

I was thinking about the parallels in the events.

I think that in the near future we will be seeing T-shirts for sale at Walmart with your favorite poker players on them. Office pools for the weekly tournament - "Great I got Gus Hansen this week." "Yeah, guess who I got, Huck Seed? might as wella thrown my money away."

Really, the thing that poker needs to take it to the next level is cash put up by sponsors in the events so the payout is more than all the buyins. And live TV coverage. Don't think that it couldn't happen. You have all kinds of sponsors in nascar that have nothing to do with racing, (Tide, M&M's, Budweiser, etc.). Someday you'll see Scotty Nyugen wearing a Miller Lite hat. Then the events will be called "The Bellagio Open presented by Tostitos".
