Why so many threads on Annie Duke?

Why do so many people seem to be (a) obsessed with her, and (b) intent on ripping her?

I'm well aware of the gossip on RGP, her reputation, etc., but don't believe everything you read on the internet. For what it is worth, I've met Annie, we played at the same table a few weeks ago at the Bellagio, and she was friendly and a pleasure to have at the table (and there were no breaches of etiquette).
