I could be taking a concept I just learned too far, and I respect your opinion more than my own. However, I'm trying to think more for myself rather than blindly follow advice. Raising is correct here, in my view, because it's so easy to play. You are representing a high ace so if an ace hits the board you fire one out. If no one folds then you check fold the turn. If no ace hits then fire out two shots and check fold the river. Any Ace out there should fold by the turn. Not to mention BB folding and you could easily have best hand.
