Default Re: First Time For Everything... (5-10 NLHE)

my personal criteria for folding to a limp reraise, is if it comes from a tight player in early position and the game is very aggressive preflop. basically I have to be very sure that a limp reraise is actually what he was going for. based on my criteria, it wasn't such a bad fold. GoG made a good point, though. if there is anything weird about this player at all or even if he is a little short stacked I would not fold.

my only problem with your fold is he could have AK/QQ some of the time. most players that are sophisticated enough to limp reraise are also sophisticated enough to do it with more hands than AA-KK. I will occasionally limp reraise with as little as 99 if a loose player is raising a lot of pots behind me.

against a tight player I don't think your fold is horrendous, but I don't have a very good track record with KK preflop, as matt can attest .
