With this scary of a board, I was looking to take down this pot immediately, or at least get draws out, but went for the checkraise to get a few more chips out of the hand. Would it have been a better idea to bet out at a lower amount to see how the action went, or checkraised a lower amount, or was there no getting away from this? What about the rest of the play?
