In depth 5/10 question
Playing 5/10 at the casino the other day and I think I misplayed a hand in a manner that allowed another player to get a read on me. Here is the scenario..
Staring at JJ in EMP with one limper before me on a tight but very aggressive raising table. I Raise to 10. Another player immediately behind me who has proven to be very loose at the time reraises me. Everyone else folds back to me. My question now is do I cap the raise. I believe that the player has reraised me merely for information and may or may not be sitting on a good hand. He is waiting for me to cap the raise, and thus put me on AA, KK, AK, etc or just merely call his reraise, thus putting me on a lesser pocket pair. I decide just to call the bet and see what happens, although I know this will cause the loose player to bet on any high card which appears on the flop. Sure enough, an A hits on the flop. Now, should I play my jacks with aggression in early position to him or just check to him and call or fold? This player is very capable of raising my flop bet and any others to follow with nothing. What should be my move here? Any ideas or suggestions would help. |
