On hand #1 I don't understand why you raised to $300. You have the nut draw and a middle pair which is a pretty strong hand. I would just call the $60 and try to get more money from him. If he had bet say $200-300 I think a raise is a great play because now there is decent money in the pot and you still have enough behind to scare him out of the pot.
