Default Misplayed on every street, or was my flop action okay?

Heya,

2/4 game at the local Indian Casino. Table is very passive and relatively loose. The only two folks who have been raising pre-flop are me and a good friend who's at the other end of the table. My friend is a little loose with pre-flop calls, but has reasonably tight raising standards. Post-flop action has been straightforward with loose calls but no bluff bets/raises, aside from a few bets with draws and free card plays.

I'm dealt J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the SB.

UTG, EP, MP1 call. MP2 (my friend) raises. Button calls. I call (and get a funny look from my friend for the cold-call). BB calls. The limpers all call.

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (12.5 SB, 7 players)

Checked around to MP2 who bets. Button folds. I raise. BB folds, everyone else calls.

Turn: T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] (11 BB, 5 players)

I check. It is checked around.

River: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] (11 BB, 5 players)

I check. It's checked around. My JJ is good. Everyone else mucks without showing except for UTG who shows A9 in disgust at missing his hand. My friend later says he had AQs.

I was pretty bummed with how I played the hand, but here's what I was thinking:

Preflop: Calling is mandatory even if I think my friend has an overpair, as I've got the odds to hit a set. I called vice raising to make him think that I just had big cards, in order to check-raise a favorable flop.

Flop: The check-raise seemed mandatory here. I'd like to chase out overcards if possible. I probably fold to a re-raise from my friend (I know his play pretty well). The only hands I see calling are overcards, any T/8/3, or some variety of straight draw.

Turn: I don't like this card. I was worried that someone called me with top pair / no kicker on the flop. I checked with the intention of folding to a bet from one of the rocks and raising a bet from my friend (the only one at the table I thought capable of betting without a T).

River: Again, I don't like this card. Since no-one bet on the turn, I doubt anyone has a T. But since they called 2 bets on the flop, surely they had some piece of the flop. I checked with the intention of calling up to one over-caller.

Was I too wussy all the way through? Looking back, I think I should have bet out on the turn and folded to a raise (to avoid giving a free draw) and then check-called the river.
