re buy tourneys

played in my first re buy tourney at a casino 125 buy in 20 for 1000 chips 7 sessions total.lookin for input on how to play in the re buy session to get max chips with min rebuys.saw that people played EXTREMELY loose in the re buy stages.i chose not to.any opinions will help!
