aces in the small blind
I don't like how I played this hand. Online 5-10
I have aces in the small blind. UTG+1 open-raises, next player 3 bets. Folded to me, I think about capping but decide to call. No cap, so 3 of us see the flop for 3 small bets. UTG+1 is a decent player I respect. not fantastic, but a solid player. Flop comes J J 3 rainbow. UTG+1 bets out, next guy raises. now I know that he'll make that raise with hands I beat like QQ and KK so I smoothcall to see what happens next. Now UTG+1 reraises, next guy just calls, and I just call. Turn is another 3, UTG+1 bets out, next player folds. I think and fold as well. As soon as I folded I don't like it. he'd try to represent the jack with any overpair and I think I should have called him down. Was the fold right? Should I have found a raise to test him? Would he have waited until the turn to pop it if he really had a hand like AJ? The more I think about it, the more I think I folded to kings. -Scott |
