the ev of posting in the hijack
okay i know when you join a table it is preferable to post in the cutoff or big blind and be on your way, but oftentimes i end joining a table and having the option to post in the hijack seat. i think to myself that maybe it's not very -EV to post and get started.
(maybe it's even bordering on neutral if i am sitting with a few unknowns who might notice that i declined my option and waited a full six hands to play - they could note me as a tight player.) basically is there any way to justify posting in the hijack given a full table? what about if there is another poster in the CO - does this make a hijack post worse or better? |
