Re: Dumbest home game rule ever?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I've played a NL home cash game where, if you have chips in front of you, you have to declare that you're leaving a half-hour in advance. It's not as dumb as no side pots, but it's still pretty dumb. [/ QUOTE ] This isn't even dumb if you play with a bunch of asses who win one big pot and then leave. I don't see where this is a bad thing at all. [/ QUOTE ] No, and in fact, this is a pretty standard rule at a lot of home games, I think, including ones I play in. It's a good defense against the hit and run, and a simple courtesy to everyone else at the game. At a casino or online you can get away with this, but a friendly home game there's just no need. [/ QUOTE ] I usually announce that I am leaving about 30 minutes in advance. Its not a house rule just common courtesy. Some people dont want to play short handed. |
