Default Atlantic City vs. Las Vegas

In my experience Atlantic City dealers are friendlier than
Las Vegas dealers. They seem to be in better spirits and talk with players more. Las Vegas dealers are often dry and sullen. There are some speculations about why this is so.

Several reasons may be:

1) Atlantic City dealers make alot more money. Even breakins take home over $100 per shift with tips. The breakin dealers in Vegas barely make enough to live on, and it takes several years to "make it to the Strip" where they can earn a decent income.

2) It seems the farther away from the west, the dealers are friendlier.

3) Atlantic City dealers haven't had their souls sucked out by sin city.

4) There are more locals playing in Vegas on a constant basis and they get tired of constantly losing and some take it out on the dealer.

5) The culture of Las Vegas is different from the culture of Atlantic City. If you lived in both cities, you'd notice a big difference. Even outside the casinos, the people in Atlantic City are nicer. They are more apt to welcome new people to their city. In Las Vegas, it is a well-known fact that there is no sense of community. And there is an unwritten law that says "everyone must mind his or her own business."
