Laying Down KK preflop?
I don't have a hand history for this (played on PokerRoom)
Relevent Stacks: UTG+1: $3.75 MP2: $32.00 Hero(CO): $34.25 Hero Dealt Kd Ks Action: UTG+1 raises to $1 folded to MP2 who RR to $3.75 Hero re-RR to $10 UTG+1 calls all in. MP2 raises pot all-in. Hero:...? MP2 had been playing pretty weak-tight, never showing this much preflop action since I'd been at the table. UTG+1 doesn't bug me at all, he'd taken a bad beat a few hands earlier and had been kinda happy to bet his remaining stack since then. I'd been playing somewhat loose with selective agression. I was prepared to call, but then I stopped for a moment on a premonition. This guy was just playing too assuredly preflop for a weak-tight player. I considered that he maybe had KK as well, but that seemed unlikely, and even then I'm not as sure he would have played THIS agressively. I ended up folding, but since UTG+1 was all-in, I got to see if I was right or wrong. Anyone have thoughts about throwing away KK preflop? |
