Default Hand that totally bothered me

Sorry I don't have the hand history, but I played the following hand yesterday.

Full ring table, .10/.25 blinds, NL. I was BB and my one read was player to my left was a little loose in his calls.

I held KQ in BB, no rasing preflop, and flop comes K 5 4 rainbow. With no raising PF I'm certain I'm leading and bet the pot from OOP. Pot was something like 85 cents. I get two callers, player to my left and another opponent.

Turn came a 6. Pot must have been around 3.40 and I think I bet around 2/2.20. Again, both opponents call. My old nemesis, getting caught with top pair out of position.

River comes a 2, I check, player to my left bets 4 dollars, other opponent calls, I call.

Of course player to my left shows 87 and hit a gutshot on the turn. What kills me the most is my river overcall. I absolutely hate paying people off and in essence giving them the implied odds to call pot bets on horrible draws.

I'd like any feedback on how else to play this hand. Also, should I beat myself up on the overcall? If I was beat, I certainly didn't think I was beat two ways. If other opponent didn't call would a call here been ok? Could this be KJ, KT, bluff often enough to warrent calling or should I put opponent on set or straight majority of time?

Again, sorry, no real reads on the table.
