Not a bad beat thread...
But I'm about breakeven on the session and allong comes this bad beat. I kinda chuckle and say "I'm fine, I won't tilt here". A little bit later I get a nice double-up and I'm +$100 for the day, not bad right? Back to normal... lets play some untilted poker, wrong. I continued to drop a solid 7.5 buyins before bouncing back to a final of -4 buyins. I did lose to some ridiculous beats, but there were several hands I overplayed including a TPTK(AK) i dropped 3.5K on two top two pair(A8). Off topic, I did manage to scoop up my first 5-figure pot of my career. Anyways, my question is... does anyone immediately shutdown their session for the day after a hand like my 88 comes up? I'm playing slightly out of my bankroll so I handle the beats a little harder than a typical 3/6 or 5/10 game. Plus its never fun to have over 2 buyins ripped out of your hands. Anyways, I'd like to hear everyones thoughts... to play or not to play? -Ace |
