When a friend joins your table.
2/5 NL at Borgata last week. My friend, who's been railbirding me for a while, decides to take the empty seat two to my left. Then this comes up when I'm on the button.
Hero- 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A couple of limps, I limp, BB(my buddy) knocks. Flop Kx2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB bets $20, folded to me, I call. Turn is a non-heart, 8 or 9 IIRC. BB bets $50, I call. River is a 4, I got the nuts. He checks, I think for a bit, and throw out $120. He calls with K2. Not an exciting hand, but he was chastising me afterward for not checking it down on the river . He said he assumed I was on the flush draw, and missed, so he checked to be NICE, assuming he had me beat with his two pair. I just thought it was funny that he was basically advocating that we softplay with each other since there were only the two of us. Even if I were going to consider doing this, at what point is that just plain idiocy? When 1 more good friend jumps in? 2? 3? This is why it bothers me when we go to A/C or Foxwoods and a friend insists on jumping on my table. |
