Default PS $27 turbo: automatic bubble call?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 ante 50 (4 handed) converter

UTG (t4265)
Button (t6870)
Hero (t1750)
BB (t615)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

I have to call only 265 for a pot of 1065 -- 4:1 odds. But, I also know that I am an underdog against an average hand.

If I fold, I will have 1390 and the guy in the big blind will have 1065 and be in the small blind next hand. I would seem to be ahead in the race for 3rd place.

If I call and win, I am obviously ITM. If I call and lose, I will be down to 1135 and the guy in the BB will have 1330. If we both fold everyhand from here on out, when we're both forced all-in, I will have the smaller stack and be out in 4th if we both lose. Of course, a lot can change in the four hands between now and the forced all-in. But, all other things being equal, I'd be behind in the race for 3rd.

Seems like my choices are:

1) fold and be ahead in the race for 3rd; or
2) call and be ITM about 43% and behind in the race for 3rd the other 57%.

Does this make it obvious to call?
