Default your favorite \"intermediate\" poker tip

i thought i'd start a thread with some poker tips that aren't so obvious. i thought anyone interested could give one.. they may be beginner tips but it seems to take awhile to figure it out.

i'll start with 2

1) blinds are in horrible position post-flop. it seems we get excited we are acting last and getting in for a discount, but acting first after flop is just horrible, especially against good players.

2) watch for pair on board "counterfeiting" other pairs or kickers.......

in general, i'm still not as good as i could be at reading tougher boards (turn, river or after showdown, and i've seen dealer mistakes)..... always make sure you call your actual hand as opposed to what makes your hand unique.i.e. if a pair is on board and you have a pair, make sure you call two pair (don't think, we'll everyone has the one pair)

sorry if this is beginner stuff, but i've played quite a bit and i still have problems with this stuff (seen pro's on TV misread board too)
