Sanity Check- bet this hand or check it down with one all in?
Stars 180 person $20+2 SnG. Roughly 120 players left. Blinds are $25/$50. One limper (stack ~T2000) in EP to me with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (stack ~T2500). Short stack on the button shoves for T208. Both blinds fold, limper calls, and I call.
Flop is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Limper checks, I bet T200. Limper lets his clock run down to 20 seconds, folds, and calls me an idiot for not checking it down to eliminate the short stack. Who doesn't bet this hand? There are tons of players left, so eliminating the short stack is relatively meaningless. I have flopped a good but vulnerable hand- why would I let him draw at me for free? Of course, the button had A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and made a flush on the river, but that is besides the point. Tell me if I broke the unwritten 'check it down' rule, or if I made a sane play. |
