Default Poker rooms in Florida

I'm moving to Florida in about a month and was quite happy to discover a poker room/dog track a few minutes from my soon-to-be office. Then I read over their rules and was a little displeased to discover the only limits they play are $.50-1 and $1-2 hold 'em and stud.

Has anybody played in these games? With such low limits it seems that they would just be a crapshoot, with eight or nine players to the flop every hand and whoever hits the flop with their 'any two cards' wins. Would this be a fair assessment? Any ideas how to adjust?

With such low limits (and I'm not a high limit B&M player, I normally stick to $5-10 to $10-20), I don't even know that it would be worth my time. I'm sure I could experience the same type of game online, only get more hands an hour.

Anyone have any experiences to share?
