Showing one card is very common and it is generally seen as a courtesy. If I get you to fold Steamboat, and then show you top pair, and you took offense to it, I would really think you were just a cranky old fart looking for a problem. That said, I wouldnt lose any sleep either if you saw my other card. It's virtually irrelavant. I had the winner, you folded, I let you know it was a good fold. Sure, there are ulterior motives, such as setting up a bluff later on, but that is not the same as taunting. Taunting in this case, would be if I showed you just the six and kept the ace concealed.
