Re: Splitting the bill.
I pick up the check for the following reasons:
It is with my gf. It is a special occasion or I have a specific reason to be thankful to them. The amount of money is significant to them, but not to me. I am college-aged so a lot of my friends have no money, but $5 doesn't mean [censored] to me, so I'll just pick it up. Otherwise, I don't see a reason to pay for their food.
