Default AKs in early position...

Hi,

This hand happenned a few days ago, and I've been thinking about it on and off, so I thought I'd post it here. Obviously, I think I played it wrong, but I'd like to hear how the experts play it differently. It's a $50 NL table (50 cent big blind, 25 cent small blind). I bought in for $30 and posted in the cut-off. Table is 10-handed and there hasn't been too much action the first 5-6 hands. I have no reads or stats on anybody here.

A few hands after I posted, I'm UTG, and get Ad Kd. I raise to $2. A player in middle position calls, and everyone else folds. This player has about $18 left.

The flop comes Kh 5d 4c. I bet $5. He raises to $10, leaving him $8 more.

I liked the situation enough that I was definitely going to call. But since he only has $8 left, I figured I'd call a bet with pretty much any turn card that showed up, so I pushed.

What do you guys do? Thanks!
